I feel like this is a fitting end to the challenge. Day one’s self portrait was a struggle from beginning to end. Choosing a location, setting up, getting in frame (much less in focus), choosing a pose… it really put into perspective all of the things I didn’t know that I didn’t know. To be fair, though, I had more help with this one. A buddy took position so I could set the focus, then made sure I was where I wanted to be in frame, but I still took the actual photo with the wireless shutter remote on a 2 second timer, so it was a legitimate ‘self’ portrait. I hope anyone who kept up with this challenge enjoyed witnessing the journey as much as I enjoyed learning from it. In my next post I’ll breakdown my favorites, my most hated, what I would do differently, and what I am looking most forward to doing again.
