Let me tell you about a good habit that I have that most people (where I live, anyway) have apparently never been taught. This little lever on the left side of the steering column makes lights on the front an back of your vehicle flash. It’s purpose is to indicate to other drivers in your vicinity of your intended change of lanes or direction. There is an instructional article here if you are not familiar with this device. I can sometimes be an aggressive driver, but I will use my indicator light in every situation. Not only is it a good habit to be courteous to those who share the roads with you, it is also a legal requirement. Please familiarize yourself with this instrument.
